BRONWEN PIERSON Stress Elimination Specialist
Pierson Wellness LLC, Mission Statement
Pierson Wellness’s mission is to teach stress-free living and contribute to creating a Living Above the Line movement across the world. From Above the Line, human beings become the best versions of themselves. Internally, they experience more love, joy, peace, fulfillment and abundance. Outwardly, they express more love, compassion, understanding and the ability to help others. As a result, populations can create more peace, positive solutions, provision of basic needs, and increased health and happiness for all. It starts with each individual learning how to communicate with her or himself from Above the Line, then learning how to communicate with others from Above the Line, and finally to create Above the Line solutions that benefit entire families, entities, communities and countries.
I am Bronwen Pierson and the founder of Pierson Wellness LLC. Here is a synopsis of my professional life prior to 2018 in case you are interested in my background. I graduated from the University of Vermont, Cum Laude, with a BA in Political Science and Economics in 1991. After traveling and working as a lobbyist in Washington D.C., I attended the University of Maine School of Law and graduated Suma Cum Laude in 1997. I began my law practice at Fellows, Kee, Tymoczko & Pierson Law Offices in Bucksport, Maine in 1998, became a managing partner in 2000 and then transitioned to a part-time practice from 2010-2014. In 2003, I co-founded a real estate agency, Ocean’s Edge Realty, LLC, and became the Designated Broker until its sale in 2013. I began teaching about health and wellness in 2012 and joined Doterra International as an Independent Wellness Advocate. I started to specialize in Personal Development a few years later and founded my company, Pierson Wellness, in 2018.
I grew up in Caribou, Maine where I learned all of my values that I treasure: the value of the great outdoors, the value of creating your own adventure, the value of friendships and family, and the value of perseverance. Though I started my career in politics and law, my aim was always to help other people. Through a series of personal health issues, I came to discover that my passion is not in helping people with their legal and real estate issues, it is in helping people with their health and happiness issues.
Upon my graduation from law school, I began seeing doctors for digestive discomfort. I was not interested in the prescription medication they had to offer, so I began to pursue more knowledge about my body and natural solutions. While I have always been an athlete, this new pursuit led to more understanding about nutrition and health became my hobby. I began using essential oils before the birth of my first child in 2002 and incorporated them fully into my family’s healthcare regimen over time. After a number of years, I knew that my hobby was supposed to be my vocation, and I began teaching independently.
Still, the one health issue I hadn’t addressed was chronic stress. At age 44, after running two stressful businesses, and knowing I wanted to change my vocation, I began to experience cracks in my wellness foundation like anxiety and chronic pain. I knew I could be a better version of myself, so just like I looked for a solution for my digestive issues, I started to look for a way to eliminate my chronic stress. I sold the real estate company and left the law firm. I began my new, full-time vocation as a wellness educator. However, this did not magically eliminate my chronic stress.
So I went to work to figure out how to be happier. I read hundreds of books on physical and emotional wellness, took courses, and I followed a very twisty path experimenting, processing and making sense out of what I learned. I began to see how I could create changes in my mood and my stress levels, and how those led to feeling better physically and emotionally. I started specializing in Personal Development and created a system from what I learned in order to help other people….my aim in the first place.
